Does anyone know if there is a place to buy just the rear wing to the 2015 STI so someone could be a cheapo and attach it to the WRX?
This is what I'm thinking of doing because, in my opinion, this new Impreza only looks good with the rear wing, and the rear wing is not worth 8k (or whatever the difference is) if you only want the WRX's performance and can't afford an STI.
The WRX just looks completely awkward without it.

Forums, trade with a guy in an STI who thinks the wingless look is awesome.

I agree, the WRX looks a little weird without the wing. I have no idea where you'd buy one, I'd guess that the best bet would be finding an aftermarket wing that looks similar or maybe you could find one online somehow. I doubt Subaru will sell just the wing.

I agree. The WRX looks wrong without it

I don't like the wing, but I would guess a couple hundred dollars at a Subaru Dealer would get you one. Cheaper to go aftermarket I assume.

There is a whole thread dedicated to just this on NASIOC.

2014 or 2015? The 2014 is the previous generation GV STi, while the 2015 (which you have pictured) is the new VA STi.
The 2011-2014 GV STi spoiler is available from Subarugenuineparts.com at a what appears to be a reasonable price.
The 2015 VA STi spoiler is available from Subarugenuineparts.com , at a slightly higher price.

This is Subaru:
"You dawgs, I heard you like the WRX hatch in America and actually buy a lot of them. So we killed it off cause we don't like you.
Best,
Subaru North America"

throw one of these in your cart before you check out.

back in the day people used to swap whole trunk lids of a car the same color. If you do, remember to swap the trunk hinge too. They put stronger lifting springs on the lids with the wing.

It's all a bluff. They will deliver the hatch in a few years no doubt.

I like them both but my hatch is beautiful

If I had an STI, I'd gladly trade for a wingless trunk.

WRX hasn't looked right since mid 2000's . The want is strong, minus the hellaflush. Ever considered a used car?

Too small, needs this

I hope so !

I see it the complete opposite. I think the STI looks like an absolute dork with the STi wing.
When I can afford an STI we can swap trunk lids.

I've actually thought about doing something similar with my civic... I want an SI wing for mine...
wait until they show up in junkyards. Then just take the whole trunk and do a switch!

Fear not. Mazda's building the new WRX hatch.

I think the new Mazda 3 hatch is ugly...

It's considerably more attractive than the Subaru alternative.

In your opinion. The back end looks off to me, and the nose is too long

I agree that the profile is a bit disproportioned-looking, but I think it looks good in person.
The Impreza wagon is not good-looking. "Homely" applies. I'm sure a WRX or STi version might have looked better, but an apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

The Impreza wagon looks terrible.
The STI hatch looked fantastic

The old one looks good. We'll see if they come around and STI-ify the current gen.
